A story-driven witch academy RPG where magic is cast through music.

About the Game

The land of Glimmerwick is well known for its university of magic – and as luck would have it, you’re already enrolled! In this woodland fantasy world playing music is the secret to casting spells. Ancient songs make garden work a breeze, and they’re also key to exploring every corner of the island. With your trusty flute and songbook at your side you’ll attend classes and join after school clubs, make friends with classmates and townsfolk, and uncover Glimmerwick’s many oddities and mysteries – all while enjoying a year of seasons, festivals, curses, and witchy hijinks in this peaceful, story-driven RPG.

About the Developer

Following the success of the first-person traveling painter-adventure Eastshade, we have set out to make something a little different from our debut title. Our core team consists of married couple Jaclyn Ciezadlo (game director, lead designer, lead artist) and Danny Weinbaum (programmer). We remain committed to making games that feel like true places, and exploring the ocean of game design outside of combat.

FAQ

When is it coming out?

This is how we handle release date: We work on the game until we have the content we want and the game is solid enough to play through, and then once we’re certain we can finish in time for it, we officially announce an actual release date. As of yet we have not announced a release date!

What platforms will it be on?

PC for sure, and planning for consoles as well (which ones we can’t confirm for certain yet).

Does the game have a main story?

The game has both a main story, and a plethora of smaller stories as you learn about all the characters of Glimmerwick. The magic source of the island is fading. The forest is dying. It’s someone’s fault. But who’s? The people of Glimmerwick seem to have differing opinions about that.

How big is your team?

Our development team consists of three full-timers at the moment: lead designer and artist Jaclyn Ciezadlo, technical director Danny Weinbaum, and programmer Jennifer Hide. We also continue to work with our long-time composer Phoenix Glendinning for music.
